'Thinkman' was a pseudonym for ace producer Rupert Hine. As he recalls in the sleeve note, he thought that greater success would be achieved in a band context, the more so as his solo work under his own name had received a critical drubbing in the press. The theme of this album, originally released in 1990, is global environmental concerns and no punches are pulled verbally. Musicians include Phil Palmer and Geoffrey Richardson of Penguin Cafe Orchestra and of course Rupert Hine himself on guitar and keyboards. |
