Karan Casey has one of the most distinctive voices and 'Distant Shore' is her follow-up to 'The Winds Begin To Sing' (Shanachie Records) which won Irish Music Magazine's 'Best Folk Album' award in 2001.

On this latest album, Karan showcases her talent for interpreting traditional Irish material along with the contemporary, with a diverse range of musicians including Donald Shaw, Michael McGoldrick, Ewen Vernal and Karan Matheson of Capercaillie fame.
