Live at Leeds was originally issued as a private pressing of 10,000 and sold by mail order only. It quickly sold out and has become a much sought after item amongst Martyn's loyal fan base. The band line-up is John Stevens on drums, Danny Thompson on bass and on the four additional tracks former Free guitarist Paul Kossoff. This powerful ensemble performance captures Martyn at a musical peak. His next release on Island, 1977's 'One World' with it's powerful and endearing songs was to see him hit a commercial peak. |
