PhD was short-lived and it wasn't until 1984 that Diamond returned to the charts with the No.1 hit 'I Should Have Known Better' co-written with fellow Scot Graham Lyle (who also appears on Sugarolly Days with long-time partner Benny Gallagher). 'Sugarolly Days' was first released in 1994 and includes Ian Bairnson (Alan Parsons Project), Clem Clempson on guitars and Charlie Morgan, drums.
