This is the first ever solo release by the highly regarded US folk singer who featured in the cult folk rock act Eclection (a band that had ex-Fairport Convention's Trevor Lucas in their line-up).

On this new release, Dorris gets together again with Eric, Mick and Tim from Eclection, Mick's daughter Sophie Smiles on electric bass and Mike Peters on trumpet, from her jazz days. In addition, ex-Marvelette Audrienne features on backing vocals, husband Mac McGann (ex Ralph McTell, Levee Breakers) on guitar and harmonica and there's a guest appearance by famed folk guitarist John Renbourn with whom Dorris appeared on the joint album 'There you Go' (reissued in 1999).

Dorris has stated that this album is a musical autobiography - it's a blend of folk through jazz to R&B and, of course, that unique and beautiful voice.
